Operation and Maintenance of Generators, Dewatering and fuel supply in Peshawar BRT System
The efficient operation and maintenance of generators, dewatering systems, and fuel supply are crucial aspects of the Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system, provided by the CEMS. Details with Regards to said services are as follows
Operation and Maintenance of Generators:
The Peshawar BRT system relies on a robust network of generators to ensure uninterrupted power supply. CEMS plays a vital role in the operation and maintenance of these generators, employing skilled technicians and adhering to rigorous maintenance schedules. Currently CEMS is managing 50 generators with a combined capacity of 50 MWs. Regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and prompt repairs are conducted to minimize downtime and ensure the continuous availability of power throughout the BRT system.
Dewatering System Management:
Efficient dewatering is essential for maintaining a safe and functional BRT system, especially during rainy seasons or in areas prone to flooding. CEMS is responsible for managing and maintaining the dewatering systems installed at key locations along the BRT route. These systems help in controlling and diverting excess water, preventing flooding and ensuring smooth operations of the BRT infrastructure.
Fuel Supply Management:
A reliable and uninterrupted fuel supply is crucial for the seamless operation of the Peshawar BRT system. CEMS takes great care in managing the procurement, storage, and distribution of fuel for the generators and other relevant equipment. Strict quality control measures are implemented to ensure the use of clean and efficient fuel sources, minimizing environmental impact while maximizing the system’s efficiency.
